I am Waseem, I have a question for everyone. How I can Attract guests? not gotten any guests since September 02, 2024
[Title updated by Community Manager for relevancy]
@Waseem24 Hi, I am relatively new compare to other host here. My suggestion might be inferior to other experienced host here. I would recommend waiting for more suggestion than mine.
However, please let me shed some tips that in my opinion might help.
1. Your star review is low. 4.6. Perhaps this is the main thing you should work on and this could be your biggest challenge because this might be causing your listing not showing in search. The sad truth about it is you can’t fix it until you get more bookings which is contradicting to the main problem. You won’t get booking unless you appear on search. This, I think you cannot fix in airbnb. You might want to consider other form of promoting your house but link them back to your airbnb listing. This way, you can get bookings.
2. In case you were able to solve number 1 and you get bookings, explain to your guest by printing in your rule book that review system on airbnb would require 5 star to keep your listing in airbnb. @Robin4 can explain this better. You might want to reach out to her. She is a very experience host and very kind that she even gave me a template on how to do this.
Your 3 star rating seems a good review but they give you 3 star because they think it means “good”. Its not! And most guest don’t know that.
3. In case you are able to get views again and appeared in search, try to reduce external photos. You have a lot and it takes away the chance of showing the inner beauty of the home. People stay longer in bedroom than any other place of the house. Make your guest see how comfy your bedroom. Make basic needs available to your guest. One of your guest comments on lack of some items in kitchen.
other than this, I think you have so much better place than mine and I’m sure your place have way better potential if you will provide what your guest needs.
beauty attracts, features win the hearts of your guests, and your communication will make them come back again and again.
good luck!

@Anton7298 Thanks Anton for tagging me here.
I remember back in 2017 a regular contributor, Andrea Wagner from Amsterdam who I traded posts with a couple of times a week for 18 months was convinced that Robin4 was actually Robyn4. We used to get into some light hearted banter and I just played along with it even though many of my posts clearly related to my male gender and my wife Adrienne! At one stage she took me to task saying...."I understand what you are saying but I am looking for a male point of view"! That was when I decided to come clean!
I don't want the same perception creeping back into the CC Anton because, once it starts others take it on board and it gets awkward.
So to clear up and confusion Robin4 is the one in the blue top with a decided lack of hair holding a glass of red wine.
Ade is the one who answers to she.
When someone is talking to me the only title I will not accept or respond to is 'Bob'........it reminds me of sleazy car salesmen! They always seem to be called Bob.
Have we got that one cleared away Anton!!
Cheers........Rob.
@Robin4 Thanks for clearing that.
I am really sorry. I never had a chance to zoom in your profile picture until now. I didn’t realize there is a man on black.
😓
Just to clarify for other hosts looking at his listing.
It seems to be an entire basement suite, with 2 bedrooms in the basement, complete with probably a kitchenette of sorts/lack of full kitchen. It has a separate entrance.
Clarifying because I found myself a little bit confused at first as well.
@Waseem24 Hello! I hope we can help you resolve this problem! First, when I reviewed your listing I wasn't sure if this is a room within a shared space or if it is completely separate. Meaning, is the kitchen shared with your family? The bathroom? Or is that only for the guest inside the dedicated private space? Any confusion in the listing will lead to people just looking at something else rather than spend time trying to understand. I would express it clearly. Otherwise you might also try to make the space a bit more bright for the bedroom phots. Opening window coverings all the way and then taking it helps a lot. Other than that, as mentioned by others, you can try lowering the price so that you will be a cost savings to travelers. I try to look at my space as though I were a traveler to help decide what is best to attract guests. Best of luck!
@Waseem24 I suggest to offer your listing below market price by using special offers
