So frustrated with Airbnb new update. The notes on the calender was absolute gold when it came to putting in information which is clearly highly important to hosts. Airbnb used to be so user friendly, but I'm seriously battling with the new updated app.
Hi @Sam8368
I've reported the issue (along with 2 others) and the technical team contacted me again this morning to say that they're still looking into it.
There are presently two ways of making notes. You can make a note directly on a booking (this doesn't help you if you want to make a note on an unbooked or blocked date), or you can turn on professional hosting tools and make a note on the multi-calendar (this doesn't help you on the mobile app).
Let's hope they fix it soon.
Thank you for responding Shelly. I hope they will fix this because it forces me to use Vrbo, because making quick checks on Airbnb is useless
Airbnb definitely needs to allow you to color code same day blocks or blocking for cleaning days, and a separate color for Vrbo and other platforms
Hi. I get this answer today , and very bad news for Host.. We are Not able to make note in the calender . Before its was the best platform. But kind of after the remote note, one of the most important tools , the kind of force me to look after a new platform.

Hello
I am very sorry to hear about the frustration you’ve experienced. I completely understand how important it is for you to be able to manage notes in your calendar, especially with multiple properties listed on Airbnb.
The reason behind this issue is that Airbnb has recently updated the calendar functionality, and the option to add notes directly on blocked dates is currently being phased out on the desktop version. This change is part of broader system improvements, but I realize it can feel disruptive when a feature you rely on is no longer available.
Since you mentioned that you tried contacting us via phone, I will transfer your case to our Danish Support Department so you can receive assistance in your preferred language. They will be able to provide more tailored guidance and help you with any alternatives or solutions available.
Thank you for your patience and for sharing your feedback—it helps us improve. We truly value your partnership with Airbnb.
