Pet care as part of guest stays

Hello All!

I would like to start hosting my home, as I travel extensively and it would be nice for someone to enjoy my home in my absence.

I have a cat and a cat sitter who comes in once a day when I am gone.  Is it common to ask guests to accommodate someone coming in every day. Or do some guests not mind a bit of pet sitting?
Any advice and insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

When you are taking in paying guests you can't expect them to look after your pets @Yvette339

and the majority of guests booking a whole listing expect privacy so wouldn't want a stranger coming in once a day , and to have to sort out cat food/cat litter etc

if you want to set up an STR business look at options for your cat to stay with family/friends

as an animal lover I would  never risk leaving my pet with strangers .
