Please help with my listing

Hello! 

i am struggling to label by listing and need some help. The listing is an attached bedroom and bathroom to the main house but has no shared spaces. The entrance is completely separate from the main home as well. Currently it is listed as secondary unit - Guest Suite - Entire Place. Don't know how but it shows as golfing category which I believe is due to a close by public golf course but also part of the rooms category which qualifies "Guests have their own room in a home, plus access to shared spaces" which does not properly represent my listing. 

When finding my listing on the guest search bar, it shows as Room in Nashville, TN. Rather than entire guest suite or guest house. I am worried this is not attracting the right people. How can this be corrected?

@Benji32  I will be watching the replies to this as have the same issue. I have a bedsit attached to the main house - but my listing is up as a "room in a house". Not sure how to correct it as I'm am losing money this way because it's a private independent studio?

When I previously spoke to Airbnb they mentioned guest house which I believe your Airbnb is under.

You are correct...

Your listing is a Guest Suite and should NOT be in the Rooms Category. 

You can request it be removed from the Rooms Category yourself, or you can contact Airbnb to remove it.

To request it be removed from the Rooms Category yourself:

Login to your account

Type in a browser:  https://elevate.translated.com/categories

Tap the "X" next to the Rooms Category to remove it

Your setup is more like a self-contained guest suite with private entrance.

✔️ Edit property type correctly

Go to your listing → Listing details → Property and rooms.

Choose: Property type → Guest suite OR Entire guesthouse (since it has no shared spaces and its own entrance).

Then for Listing type → Entire place.

Avoid “Room in home” — that’s what triggers the Rooms category.

✔️ Highlight separate entrance / no shared spaces

In the description and amenities, tick Private entrance and No shared spaces.  This helps Airbnb’s system classify it more like a standalone unit.

Golfing category issue Airbnb auto-assigns Experiences and location-based categories (like golf, ski, surf, etc.) if there’s a nearby course. You can’t fully remove those tags yourself, but do what @Joan2709  suggested.
