Whenever my phone, watch, laptop, and iPad all in unison alert me that "Ophelia is arriving in 8 days", or whoever it is, I feel as if I'm being warned about an approaching hurricane. As hosts, we have to keep our notifications on, so that if something really urgent arises, we can reply quickly. But these new "heads up" way in advance alerts are redundant and unnecessary in my opinion. Hosts who don't feel organized enough and wish to opt in should be allowed to, but we should also be able to opt out and pick and choose which notifications we receive so that it is not a constant bombardment of dings and buzzes and haptics and so that the really important notifications don't get lost in the shuffle. Anyone agree?
