Pool and trampoline

I’m considering renting our house for spring break as we have a trip planned. We live in Lynn Haven right outside Panama City FL. We have a pool and trampoline. I’m concerned that those could be liabilities for us if an incident were to occur. Can someone point me in the direction of how to avoid an incident or possibly get a liability waiver? We already have our pool fenced even coming from the back door. And our trampoline has a net… but, alas, kids always find a way. Thanks.

The insurance person neighbor used to call those items "attractive nuisances" so the term has stuck with me.

For advice I've a couple suggested references for you, don't know who would be most helpful - maybe a combination.

Your insurance agent could advise you of a rider to your STR business insurance that could perhaps cover these two risks. They could also advise you of any code/safety items that you might add to.

A city planner could double check the code compliances with you, and perhaps even do an inspection.

A lawyer could craft you a proper liability waiver. This is not likely a do it yourself item, as I'm told that these can be tricky to enforce if not done properly.

Best of luck, and a nice time away for you when the time comes.

You could always cover one and dismantle the other or better yet cover both and have a great trip without worrying about either. It would allow you to skip dealing with an insurance agent, a city planner or a lawyer, none of them who one should involve in their life if one could help it.
