Question on blocking a day

If I want to block a day for myself, can someone still book up to that same day and depart/checkout that day I blocked?  Or do I need to block off the day before the day I want to go.

example:  I want to go to my home on a Monday and I don’t want to lose out on a booking that checks in on Friday and Departs Monday morning, the same day I want to get there in the afternoon, do I need to block Sunday or is just blocking Monday ok and a potential guest can still book Friday to Monday?

Airbnb is about booking nights. If you block Monday, the guest staying sunday-night can check out on Monday, but no guest can book for monday-night.

If you block Monday, that will not impact the departure of any guest that stayed on Sunday night.  Nor, will it prevent anyone from booking Tuesday night.
