After many love letters and encouraging positive reviews for a year….. I had 3 complaints in one month. The listing got suspended and when I admittedly did not know how to respond to the acusations properly…. It was removed!
instead of sitting around complaining about a couple complainers, I did a complete renovation - structural work, yard work and redesign, new driveway, fresh paint…. I just got removed again and was told i should not “Duplicate”my old listing?? Can i re list this beautifully updated property?
has anyone been through this?
i spent a lot of time and money making sure all issues are resolved
thanks for any input - I take my job as host very seriously and enjoy it so!
Was your suspension permanent or temporary according to Airbnb?
Airbnb does not allow Hosts to create a duplicate listing:
Circumvention Policy

If your suspension was temporary, you would need to update the previous listing with all your new information/photos. Reviews will stay on your profile and will be visible to guests.
Reactivate a Listing

You could try listing on another platform.
@Christina2174 I really feel for you—it’s tough when you’ve poured heart, time, and money into your space. I’ve seen others go through similar situations, and in most cases, reactivating the original listing is the best route, not creating a new one.
If Airbnb allows it, update your old listing with the renovations and photos. That way, you keep your review history and stay compliant with their policy. You clearly care about hosting—don’t give up. You’ve already done the hard work.
Thank you sincerely for the encouragement! Your kindness touched me on this grey, grey day!!!
They actually removed my listing in October when I could not come up with proper documentation to disprove the allegations. Now I know - PHOTOS, PHOTOS, PHOTOS! The person I talked to at that time assured me I could save my pictures and put it right back up! So I spent the last 4 months working to improve it before even attempting. I did not want to DUPLICATE the listing, I wanted to be sure all issues could never happen again and make it even better!
Person I talked to today said "No way! " You cannot put same address up. Now I'm in trouble for circumventing their rules on Duplicating?? and my original listing with all the glowing reviews is gone, and I must appeal - AGAIN?!
so I will
I do not give up easily:]
thanks again! I so want to be a part of the team again!
