I run a very small AirBnB out of my home. It's very old school AirBnB, with a huge personal touch. I offer a bedroom for two with a private bath across the hall. It is in the middle of my home and we share the entrance.
I closed down in March of 2020 as the pandemic spread. I felt the need to protect myself and my family as government advisories and restrictions went into place. As the entire household will be vaccinated by the end of April, I'm wondering if it's time to reopen. I miss the activity and the revenue.
What should I be doing to make myself and guests feel safe? How should I change the description of my place in a Post-COVID world?
I look forward to reading your experiences and suggestions.
May I ask as to the policy in your area?
Wearing masks and keeping socially distanced is permissable for those admitting essential workers to their premises if that's any guide.
I have the information from the government ( https://www.mass.gov/info-details/safety-standards-and-checklist-operators-of-lodgings )
I'm interested in hosts' experiences in reopening and the interactions (or not) between hosts and guests. Are there requirements or screenings hosts are using before accepting reservations?
