Room rate changes after pre-approval
Hi all,
I received an inquiry from a guest, and pre approved their request.
By the time the guest went to accept, the price increased due to dynamic pricing settings I believe. Shouldn't the guests price have been locked in with the inquiry at the least the pre approval???
Air BnB advised the guest that I need to send a special offer, but my experience with special offers is that I end up getting less than I'm supposed to get so tend not to use them. I am also confident that despite the guests price going up, my payout didn't seem to have changed.
Is this normal?

I don't think the price went up @Anthony589. Is this what the guest said? You could take a screenshot of the "Guest Paid" calculation on the booking and send it to them so they can see how the total is made up.
I agree with you there shouldn't have been any surprises - hopefully it all makes sense to the guest when they see the breakdown.
