Short Term Rental Application

Hi there,

We currently have a listing on Airbnb that is inactive, as we are in the process of applying for a business license. We were told that we had to apply by May 1st otherwise our listing would be taken down. Given the listing is inactive, we are wondering if we have more time to apply for the license. We are worried about losing all of our reviews and Superhost status if our inactive listing is deactivated.

Your reviews will stay with your account even when a listing is inactive or the reviewer no longer has an active account.

Contact Airbnb Support immediately. If possible, submit your license application as soon as you can, even if it’s late. Airbnb often allows hosts to upload a pending application or proof of submission to avoid immediate removal. Your reviews and performance history are tied to your account, not just a listing. So if you create a new listing under the same host profile, reviews from other listings remain, but the specific reviews for the removed listing won’t transfer automatically unless Airbnb reinstates the original listing later.
