Superhost status
Hi! I've recently checked my SuperHost status and it indicates that for the first time my response rate is at 88%. I really pride myself in responding as soon as I can and really don't understand why it's so low.
During this period I had two people contacting me one day (a couple contacting me from two different accounts) in regards to a claim they apparently had in how my flat was being used for irregular purposes. Once I confirmed that everything was ok in my flat, I contacted Airbnb, reported and blocked them. In order to contact me, they had to ask for a booking which I never accepted of course. And I never engaged in conversation as I wasn't sure of what the intention was. I was reassured this wouldn't affect my response rate. So I'm unsure if the low response rate is in relation to that.
Would someone know if this stats can be re-checked or if there's any feedback in regards to which conversations/bookings weren't responded to on time?
I'm not overly concerned, but I'd love to understand it better.
Thank you!
Gaby

To keep your response rate up @Gaby375 :
1) If it's a Request to book, accept or decline as soon as possible (or use InstantBook)
2) If it's an Inquiry, you don't have to accept or decline, but you MUST respond as soon as possible. If it's spam, simply type and send anything right away.

Hi @Gaby375
If those two inquiries were spam or suspicious messages that you reported and blocked after contacting Airbnb, they generally should not negatively affect your response rate especially if you were advised that they wouldn’t. It’s possible there was another inquiry that wasn’t responded to within the required timeframe or that the metric was calculated incorrectly.
I would definitely reach out to Airbnb Support and ask them to review your response rate.
