I have 4 large screen tv in my rental but not sure how a guest would use them. I am new to rental and the tvs are LG and Hisense/Roku. Would the guest just sign into a tv using my fiber internet and the logout when leaving? I worry about unexpected cost of gaming or rental of movies. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi @Roger1233
We have Smart TVs in all of our listings, and they’re connected to our internet service, so guests can easily enjoy streaming during their stay. They’re welcome to sign in with their own accounts to access platforms such as HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+, or any other streaming services they subscribe to. Before checking out, we recommend signing out of all personal accounts for privacy and security.
@Roger1233 Yes guests can log into their own streaming apps. If you have the ability to, I would add some type of pin code so that guests can't upgrade your TV services during their stay. Pin codes on the back end of Roku do not prevent this from happening.
I have this problem with Spectrum with internet only service. Because there is not box, or a remote that goes with the box, my guests frequently add on services. It's exhausting and I have to spend hours on the phone getting it taken off each time it happens which is several times per year.
Hi @Roger1233
Yes, @Karen114 is correct, you can add a pin code for security for anyone upgrading or ordering anything away from what is already established on your TV program. Another thought is to leave the programs available but not signed into and the guests will use their own accounts to sign into and sign off when leaving.
Great thank you Hubert and Karen!
