We put our rental unit up on air bnb and now have bookings already. No idea what we should leave in the flat. Should we have toilet roll, towels, cleaning products , instructions on heating, instructions on cooker, soap ? Etc etc

I think there's a few simple questions to ask yourself that will help guide you:

What would I want if I rented this place for $___ to be satisfied?

If I were really, really, dumb, what things would I need to be told so I don't damage or break anything?

If it were my first time in the area, and I arrived tired/hungry/cold, what would I need in terms of finding and checking into the location?

And then, for when you're looking for ways to improve the experience:

If I were a guest, would ___ impress me, or would it be something I wouldn't care about?

@Alan1375 Yes to all of the above - You just need to match the amenities that you list. Typically if you have space for 2 people you should have crockery and cutlery for 4 people minimum.

Have a look at what similar listings local to you are offering @Alan1375

@Alan1375 View your listing through the eyes of a guest, pretending you’re staying there for the first time, completely unfamiliar with the space.

What basics would you need (toilet rolls and towels for example). What instructions would you find helpful? What would you appreciate beyond the basics that would make your stay just that much better, and make you feel as though the host cared about your comfort?

Your listing could use more photos and more details of the space.
