hi everyone i was wondering if anyone has any advice or tips on how to get started hosting and listing airbnbs , it has always been a interest in mine but i never knew where to get started . Please share thank you 🙂

Starting out is incredibly exciting. My biggest piece of advice is to focus on your USP (Unique Selling Proposition) right from the start. Look at nearby listings and figure out what can make yours unique—whether it’s a dedicated workspace for digital nomads, pet-friendly amenities, or a beautifully styled space that stands out in photos.

For your first few bookings, price your space slightly below the local market average. This will help you secure those crucial first 5-star reviews to build your momentum.

Hi @Chyanne3,  thank you for giving us an opportunity to share the basics with you. 

I will suggest that before you open for hosting,  make sure your hosting basic amenities are in place, to avoid starting with negative reviews,  at three pairs, of each linens such as sheets and towels,  basic kitchen utensils is also a must and items as well. 

You do not need to buy everything,  use what you have in your house if it's usable.

welcome to the community. i can share the following tips:

depending on where you are, the most important consideration is - NUMBERS; research the going nightly rate where you are, and the average occupancy rates. 

once you get the apartment/house, furnish it to a higher standard, stage stage stage, it is a beauty parade on airbnb.

ensure you know who your average guest are in that area- will it be predominantly contractors (lower prices over longer term), families on holiday or adult tourists?
