Hello,
I have a property in another State which so I would like to have control from my State and change the lock codes and give codes to different people like my cleaning crew, handyman, neighbor, etc. What would you recommend. I would like to get one that won't require another drilling. I did buy one and we put it on and had a hard time connecting it to WiFi, and then we noticed that it replace the door knob, so now we needed to buy a door know. We removed it and returned it. Any suggestions?
Thank you,

I've seen them all, they do not include a handle. I had installed a Kwikset based on videos made by youtubers and we just couldn't connect to wifi, and then noticed we had to buy a handle and drill a hole for access from outside and exit from inside. I prefer to buy one with it all so that I won't have to drill a hole. I found eufy C33 which is the winner as it has key, keyless and fingerprint entry, cool thing is USB connect if the battery dies for some reason (I will put a lockbox outside with a short usb cord to iPhone and Android and opens instantly and I can provide acces codes to different users, i.e., handyman, cleaning lady, guest, etc.
Thanks for checking.
When trying to connect any smartlock, be sure your phone is connected to the 2.4G Network on your Wifi Network/Router as 5G won't work. Also, be sure Bluetooth is ON.
Best smart locks - in order of preference
1. Schlage Encode (not recommended for humid climates - moisture issue)
2. Yale Assure
3. August Smart Locks
4. Eufy S330 video doorbell and smartlock in one

Thank you, I had the Schlade and Encode but I had to buy a separate handle. I was hoping to find something all in one with a key as possibility in case the wifi/bluetooth gets offline. I have a lockbox on now for a backup but would love to have the all in one installed so I know who came in and when and issue codes to guests. I'll check out your #2, 3, and 4. I can't use any video type lock as the HOA does not allow it.
Thank you!!!
Your lock will still work even if the Wifi is down - you just wouldn't be able to connect to the lock via the app on your phone until the Wifi was restored. This is because the lock has internal batteries and will still function even without being connected to the internet. The Wifi feature and Bluetooth is just to allow you to connect remotely to the lock via the app on your phone.
All the locks I mention have a backup key included - most hosts keep the backup key in a lockbox or hidden somewhere on the property. If the lock can't be opened (batteries dead) you can still use the key.
Thank you - I have stored 40 AA and AAA in the refrigerator for the various items, so the housekeeper and handyman can access. I do have a backup lockbox on the property which is currently being used until I find a good wifi lock with a door handle on it, so I won't have to drill another hole in the door. Thanks Joan!
You can purchase handles separately with all the locks I mentioned...they are not included in the price of the lock.
I'm not aware of any smart locks that come with the handle included....you have to purchase the handles separately.
Maybe another Host knows of one that does?
I am aware of the separate door handles and that would require drilling through the door which is what I wanted to avoid, and the ones did not require drilling were costly so I thought I might as well get both in one and pay once as my handyman charges by the hour.
Thank you,
From what I hear they last longer, and so I have been doing that for years. I buy a 40 pack from Costco and keep them in the fridge for 2 years and they are great.
Hi @Doris569 , how are you getting along with researching the smart locks shared by Joan? Have you found a best pick yet?
I'd love to hear more about which factors you are going to consider before selecting the perfect lock for your listing!

I searched amazon for a keyless, remote, lock with a handle, then I went to youtube to see reviews and how to install.
Brilliant @Doris569 ! It's always great to double check product reviews online before purchase 💯
Is it an easy DIY to install? Or would you need any help of a service guy?
Please feel free to drop a link of the product, so that it's easier for hosts to find relevant key locks to solve similar problems!
