regards a booking

regards a booking

I have a guest that booked.  I charge an extra fee per person per night for guest over 4.  I have a two night minimum.  She wants to add 2 guests, children but only for one night.  Because of the 2 night minimum the extra charge is $120, I would like to reimburse her $60.  I thought I could do it as a discount but can't find it.  Because she won't be charged for the total booking until after arrival next week.  Do I put in a reimbursement now or is there a way to discount her price before it's charged to her credit card?

If already booked:

You can use the "change" option on the reservation, click in the pricefield and adjust the price.

Hello @Diane1026

I would definitely not reimburse before getting paid.

When there is a temporary change in the number of guests during a stay, I handle it the other way around.

I keep the reservation as is and let the guest know in advance that you will charge the difference through the resolution center. Make sure this is communicated in the Airbnb chat and not off platform.

So all you need to do is keep the reservation as is and request the $60 through the resolution center.

And if you have moved to the simplified payment method, don’t forget to add 18% on top of the $60 to cover Airbnb’s fee.

Yes they are booked for this next weekend July 31 - Aug 2.  Normally I wouldn't reimburse but she is adding 2 children 6 & 7 that will only be here one night.

Thank you for your thoughts.  Yes I do have the simplified payment so I have that covered.
