Hello Linda!

Wow! What a great place you have!

Looks like you have many years of really steady business with great reviews! Congrats!

In terms of a slow period... I am not sure where most of your guests travel from US? CA?

We live in Los Angeles and the entire city has been very much impacted by the Writers and Actors strikes..  It has taken the wind out of the sails of the city... everything has been impacted. Restaurants are slow, hotels are slow, (traffic is always slow).   I know many people have not been traveling either.

The only suggestions I have are:

- Be patient.  Things will pick back up.

-Consider writing a little bit more about your place in your description.  I read it, and wanted so much more! I am sure what might seem normal and everyday to you is exotic and exciting for someone traveling from Ohio!  "At the base of a Volcano!!!"  Tell us what you place is all about.. it's a very unique place!!

-I recently wrote a guide for the Airbnb Community as to how to write a listing description, to attract more business... check it out!  "Tips to Improve Your Listing"

-Let me know if you want some feedback

Best,

John

@Lindacommendador0 As John said the writers strike has slowed down.

Travel in these uncertain times will decrease. I know so many who have canceled trips due to protests, wars starting & spreading. Uncertainty with climate change & natural disasters. Some are just wanting to stay in their safe zone. Instead of COVID looking us down we are now doing it ourselves.

I agree with John. Be patient. Things will get better.
The best of luck to you in your bookings!

@Lindacommendador0 Maybe take the opportunity to freshen up your presentation (i.e. photos).  Perhaps during these 'unpredictable' times (to put it mildly), it calls for improving one's place such as giving the impression (in your case is a fact) that you are coming to a place 'to get away from it all'. Perhaps like no other time people may be subconsciously clamoring for such dropping-out places. Every one of our guests says that to us when they are now arriving to our place (an island) nowadays.

P.S. We just teared our whole place up despite being fortunately booked for some time. Pictures will go up in two weeks to help sell the bookings after that.
