My reply to SuperHost Support: 

**, I am so disappointed in Airbnb not assuming responsibility for syncing to VRBO. I've searched super host community and it's blatantly obvious this problem that dates dates back over 10 years ago has never been resolved.
I hope you may be able to take up the baton and help us out, but I truly feel we're on our own for the foreseeable future.

Export your Airbnb calendar.

Go to your Airbnb dashboard.
Click Listings and select the listing you want to sync.
Click Pricing and availability > Calendar sync.
Click Export calendar.
Copy the link in the Calendar URL field.

Import your Airbnb calendar into VRBO.

Go to your Vrbo account.
Click Calendars in the left navigation menu.
Click Import/Export.
Click Import calendar.
Paste the link you copied from Airbnb in the Calendar URL field.
Give your calendar a name and choose a color.
Make sure the Block availability checkbox is checked.
Click Import calendar.

Export your VRBO calendar.


Go to your Vrbo account.
Click Calendars in the left navigation menu.
Click the name of the calendar you want to sync.
Click Export.
Copy the link in the Calendar URL field.

Import your VRBO calendar into Airbnb.

Go to your Airbnb dashboard.
Click Listings and select the listing you want to sync.
Click Pricing and availability > Calendar sync.
Click Import calendar.
Paste the link you copied from VRBO in the Calendar URL field.
Give your calendar a name and choose a color.
Click Import calendar.

This has worked for me for many years with VRBO-AIRBNB-Booking-tripadvisor

 But you will have to check occasionally is it still works

At the moment I Use a channel manager to automate the process of syncing my calendars and pricing. This saves me you time and effort, and helps me to ensure that my calendars are always in sync.

I did the same for years and now suddenly stopped working 😞 It just doesn't sync at all, looks like the link from Airbnb is faulty.

Remove the links and add them again.
This occasionally happens, and it's hard to find out what caused it.

Unfortunately, it's your responsibility to verify regularly that syncing works correctly.

Anne, I saw there is an answer to your question but in following those steps both my calendars get blocked... Have you resolved the syncing dilemma?
