This is my first year with Airbnb hosting and it's been great so far. We're at the time of year when the heating has to go on...

I have three calendar linked to one main listing, but when I manually block off dates in one of the three listings, it is not showing up in the main listing. Bookings through airbnb are showing up though. Why?

Only reservations on one listing will block the others. Manually blocking one listing (like if you want to use the property for your own use) will not block the other listings. If you want to block all the listings, you have to manually do it on all of them. This is intentional, as it allows a Host to block smaller listings during the weekends or holidays (for example) to try and get the larger listing booked.

Thank you so much. A 40 min conversation with support has still not been able to give me that info. How do they not know how their platform works? So thank you! 😊
You are so welcome! 🙂 I get some great tips and advice on the CC and lots of very experienced Hosts willing to help.
Just an FYI (even though you didn't ask 🙂
BTW, luv your place! You can ask for a critique of your listing here and other Hosts can give you some tips on your listing (if you are interested). I listed a few things below you might want to take a look at. These areas are often missed when creating a new listing, as they can only be edited after the listing is published. Airbnb trys to streamline the new listing creation process, but doesn't do a good job of advising Hosts how to finalize completion of the listing IMHO:
Listing Editor - Missing Sections of Listing
You are missing some important sections of your listing. Suggest you go to the Listing editor and click every square on the left side (Airbnb calls them "cards"). An area to edit will appear on the right side of the screen where you can add/edit info. It's important to complete ALL sections of your listing, as Airbnb counts this towards your "listing completeness" in the algorithm.
Amenities
I took a quick look at your listing and suggest you go to your amenities section and update it. If you click the edit at the top you will see little pencil icons that you can add information about the amenity. If you click the (+) sign, you'll be able to see all the amenities that Airbnb lists. You should have at least 50-70 amentities on a listing this size. Right now, Airbnb is showing you don't have some important amentities (which you probably do have), like esstentials (towels, bed sheets, soap and toilet paper)? This might be off-putting for potential guests. Every amenity and the little pencil icons count towards listing completeness and search result rank, so take advantage of that:
Location
It also appears you are missing some important sections of the location card in the Listing Editor. These also count towards listing completeness and also help guests learn more about the neighborhood around your listing. I always advise my clients that are near beach locations to use exact location instead of general in the Location section. However, be sure to turn on address privacy for cancellations, so guests don't get your actual address until 48 hrs prior.
