temporary deactivation

Hi everyone. I'm moving back into my airbnb for a few months and feel a little anxious about deactivating my listing. Does anyone have any tips on deactivating and later reactivating a listing? I'd love to hear how this process went for others.

@Marina481 , thank you so much for your response. I was  actually thinking about  doing that, but wasn't sure if this was okay with airbnb. Thanks so much for the guide, that's a big help!

Hey @Susan1709 I actually take my listings offline for awhile every year due to the winter weather on our road - so don't worry it's not a deal breaker!

Since its just a few months, I would recommend instead to simply block the dates on the calendar that it will be unavailable and not actually de-list it. This way it still remains searchable and you may still get long term future bookings even while you're staying there yourself.

There is always a little bit of a recovery period after being offline, so you may see a dip or delay in bookings once you're back online but if you work to get more views to your page it should easily recover. I actually just wrote a guide on this if you want to check it out 😁https://community.withairbnb.com/t5/Community-Guides/6-Tips-to-quot-jump-start-quot-or-quot-spring-c...
