I just requested money back from Airbnb .
Not only they are refunding money without any permission within the extenuating circumstances policy but money was taken and refunded outside of the policy as well.
And besides, WHY we have to suffer alone??? Who would pay our mortgages? I have 4 listings, 4 mortgages and this is literally killing me.
For the guest this would cost $100, for us it cost thousands of dollars. Airbnb has to cover this thru the INSURANCE and stop taken our money. Who will cover my endless hours on the communicating with those guests?
Why last minute cancellations are OK, I could rent my space for needed travel nurses.
No other site does this, only Airbnb! On the Booking.com the guest and host working out this money issue... booking.com only advise, they do not touch our money.... The same with Expedia, the same with VRBO. Why Airbnb allow to make the decision? So disappointing and we Hosts need to request to pay us back. For now you, I requested the Tech support should take this liberty option to take our money OFF from the website !
