When I enter my cell phone number when making a reservation, the following phrase appears, causing an error.
"We can't send a code to this phone number. Try using a different one."
Please solve this problem.

SMS messages (airbnb uses SMS for verifications & alerts) generally can't be sent to landlines. Airbnb's phone bot must be concluding it's a landline. If it is a landline, use your mobile number instead. If it is a mobile number, then the Airbnb bot may have got it wrong.
This is a bug. I've tried 3 different cell phone numbers. It's not letting me finish my booking.
I'm having this same issue. I'm trying to make a reservation and it won't let me because it's not accepting my cell phone number, which is required. (I don't think this should even be a requirement, but that's a separate issue.) It says "We can't send a code to this phone number. Try using a different one." I get text messages all the time, even from spammers, and Airbnb can't figure out how to send me a text message?!!
Anyone find a resolution to this problem? I'm now getting the same message: "We can't send a code to this phone number. Try using a different one." My cell # is the only phone number I have!
Did you try calling Airbnb customer service, and ask them for assistance?
I couldn't find a phone number on their website, but now that I just googled it, I see it now. Thanks!

I'm seeing this as well. I haven't had a landline in ~15 years... My mobile phone absolutely can accept SMS messages - this is a bug on the AirBNB site.

I am also having this issue. Tried 4 cell phone numbers and my google voice number. It just won’t work.
Had the same problem. Added my number through my user profile, rather than on a reservation page.
Hi! I had the same issue but I was able to resolve it without calling Customer Service. I received the error message about my cell phone number when trying to book my reservation. However, I excited out and clicked on my profile. When I updated my cell phone number there, I had no issues. Maybe the issue is occuring when people are trying to enter their cell number specifically for the reservation.
