Air BnB has blocked dates I want to make available

Hello,

I'm a first time Air BnB host and accidentally opted in for the New Listing Discount offer with my first listing. As the total was cheaper than I intended I liaised with the guest and told him I'd have to cancel the reservation. When I cancelled the reservation and attempted to re-list my property without the discount, Air BnB had blocked the dates I'd already listed and cancelled the reservation for. So now my property is not available during the intended time period.

How do I unblock those dates? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The dates are permanently blocked because you cancelled,

That’s your punishment for daring to cancel on a guest. 
There  is also a fine that they take from your booking fees.

This is something you really must not do as a new host!

Yes, try not to be greedy ... just one vacant night can make a huge difference in your overall monthly revenue, better to get 80-90% of your asking price than nothing at all

I would recommend that you call AirBnb and explain to them that you are a newbie and did not realize the ramifications ... ask them for grace on this first little mistake and tell them you won't do it again ... I suspect they will cooperate with you.
