Hey all, this may be a naive question, but under the new Air Cover for Guests program, when Airbnb repeatedly says, "we'll refund them" does that mean that Airbnb has funding set up with which to refund guests for things like their "get what you booked guarantee" or does that mean HOSTS will refund guests? I've been assuming this basic form of free-to-the-guest travel insurance will continue to come out of hosts' wallets, but everything I've seen and read just says, "we'll" refund with no mention of the hosts at all. I guess I just want to clarify... who is "we"?

Hi Emilie, do you have information on this issue?
Aircover is it an actual insurance policy or it is basically client support stepping and and unilaterally deciding on cancelling the stay and refund of the host's money?
Thanks for the details on this! Of course, it is important for hosts to know.
Has there been a change to the terms of service between hosts and Airbnb to accommodate this? Or it was already written into the TOS?
Thank you for any information you might have!
That's a great question, I too thought the message was somewhat ambiguous.
Then thought Airbnb must have insurance cover for this.
However, clarity is needed in order to put our minds at ease.
