To our wonderful moderators- can you please post something quite visible at the top of each forum section that makes it clear that advertising is not allowed on this forum. (Obviously no one bothers to read through the forum policies before posting)
Not only does advertising spam appear on the forum daily, but people are being advised by Airbnb support staff to post their adverts here on the forum- you really need to get it through to CS that they must stop doing this.
It is getting so bad. But yeah, it doesn't help that Airbnb Customer Circus reps direct inquiring people to post their ads here.

What I don't understand is why they make it through in the first place.
Or better still, create a space on the Community Centre where hosts and co-hosts can connect- it’s been years since the function was removed from the Airbnb platform.
There is clearly a need for it, with Airbnb going back to its roots and what not and property management companies getting it in the neck- surely a space to connect makes sense!
@Paul1255 I definitely think there should be a section or sub-site where hosts and co-hosts and cleaners can connect.
I've noticed that a lot of the ad posts that are appearing for people seeking work as co-hosts are pretty clueless, though. As in they have zero experience, haven't even bothered to write any bio on their profile or upload verified ID, and have a profile photo more suitable to an "escorts" site than instilling any confidence as someone who understands how to present themselves professionally. No need for suit and tie or pearls, but dressed for a night at the bar with full-on cleavage, or in a ' Thug Love' crop top probably isn't the best look for the position they are seeking 🙂
However, that would be something hosts seeking co-hosts would have to wade through, I guess. Those wanting to co-host who think it's an easy job entailing a few hours online from the comfort of their home would fall by the wayside.
What we really don't need, though, is ads for party planning, house staging, holiday decorating, flower arranging, etc. and links to websites selling things under the guise of "helpful" posts.
@Sarah977 @Paul1255 @Colleen253 That's wonderful feedback, thank you! The good news is, we currently have something in the works that is exactly what you've been looking for to help with this.
Watch this space 🙂
Emilie
