Business Expense Split Charge

Pretty standard practice for each individual to submit their own expense report. So why can't we split charges for a rental. To me, this seems like a major flaw and loss of potential revenue for business trips.

@Alex9808 For compliance reasons the company I worked for insisted that for shared meals, accommodation etc the senior person present was required to pay. This may not be required in the USA but is fairly standard practice elsewhere.
