COVID-19 Cancellations

I’m new to Airbnb and was wondering, if we have guests who can’t take up their holiday due to COVID restrictions, do we get penalised for the cancellation?

Does it make any difference if I cancel the holiday or my guest does it?

I don’t want to lose my Superhost status as I ‘ve only just got it.

I let the guest cancel unless it’s your choice to not let them stay. I’m pretty sure it would affect your standing to cancel.
