Can I get a refund if host evicts us?

On the day of checking in, the host said that our flat will be different. Quite embarrassing news, but OK, I had no choice, we were already on the go. Just asked for the photos of the flat, address, and how we can get into it.

Then we’ve encountered several problems with the flat:

  1. The host was not an individual, but a company with more than 50 flats.
  2. The flat was different from the one in the photos on Airbnb.
  3. There were 2 beds instead of a single one.
  4. The mattresses on the beds were extremely bad: the springs rested against the back and it was not possible to sleep.
    1. To be honest, the next day we were given 2 blankets that a bit improved the situation.
  5. The flat was dirty and dusty as there was no cleaning before, but cleaning was included in the charge.
  6. The utensil was old and bad.
  7. We’ve asked the host to provide us basin for washing and he replied that it shouldn’t be there. He knew we had a kid 3 years old. Then I argued with him about the quality of the flat and said that we can request a refund on Airbnb. Then he replied: “go away today”.
  8. We had a hot conversation, I tried to find some consensus there. I wasn’t asking for a new pan or making a cleaning for us, just a basin. However, got impolite behavior as a response.

I have photo proofs of the bad quality and that flat was different from the original.

The question is: can I get a refund for the remaining days?

You must contact AirBNB customer service quickly and tell them your issue with that host.

they will probably refund you.

here we are other host and guest helping each other but your case is truly an AirBNB CS one.

and you will be able to give a review of the host on AirBNB, be honest but stay focus on the fact and stay away from the emotions.

Was the bassin in the list of amenities liste on the add when you booked ?

if no, the host does mit have to provide it.

the host can be a company but they must provide you with the exact unit you have booked

good luck

Contact Airbnb Customer Service. According to the Guest Refund Policy, you should be refunded. Focus on:

  1. The flat was different from the one in the photos on Airbnb.
  2. There were 2 beds instead of a single one.

this sounds like a very common scam where they switch your location, you should get a full refund for this! unacceptable. take photos of everything.

You would actually be entitled to more than partial if you were not hosted within the Listing. You really should have contacted Airbnb straight away so there was a papertrail of communication as evidence, however regardless the listing is fraudulent.
