As the year draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey I’ve had as a host. What began with one humble apartment has blossomed into a thriving collection of 25 unique spaces, each lovingly transformed from overlooked "Cinderellas" into welcoming "Princesses" ready to host travelers from around the world. The joy of creating inviting, comfortable environments has been my passion, and the support of my amazing team—a group of dedicated individuals who share my vision—has made this all possible.
This Year’s Milestones and Lessons
2024 was a year of growth and learning. Each new apartment I acquired came with its own challenges and triumphs. From the thrill of uncovering hidden potential in a drab space to the satisfaction of seeing glowing reviews from guests, every step reinforced why I love hosting. I’ve always believed that thoughtful design and small details can transform a stay into an unforgettable experience.
Alongside this personal growth, I’ve also enjoyed mentoring other hosts, sharing tips on how to create maximum comfort with minimal investment. From the power of textiles to the impact of personalized touches, I’ve seen how little changes can have a big effect on guest satisfaction. Connecting with the Airbnb community—through forums, workshops, and now this blog—has been an unexpected but deeply fulfilling part of my journey.
Inspiration for the Year Ahead
As I plan for 2025, my vision is clear: continue growing, not just in numbers but in the quality and soulfulness of each space I create. I aim to add 5–6 more apartments to my portfolio, ensuring that every new addition reflects the same love and care I’ve poured into my existing properties. Each one will be a haven for travelers—a place where they can feel at home, no matter where they come from.
I’m also inspired by the resurgence of travel across Europe, particularly in the Baltic region. Recent trends suggest that tourism in Europe will grow by an estimated 5-7% in 2025, with the Baltic countries emerging as hidden gems for international travelers. More and more people are seeking authentic, local experiences, and Airbnb is becoming the go-to platform for these adventurers. Globally, nearly 40% of travelers now prefer Airbnb stays over traditional hotels, drawn by the promise of unique accommodations and genuine connections. Tips for Hosts to Shine in 2025
To attract more travelers, we, as hosts, must continue to innovate and adapt. Here are some recommendations to make 2025 a year of success for all of us:
Wishing for a Year of Joy and Discovery
As we step into 2025, let’s keep inspiring each other to create magical experiences for our guests. Hosting is about more than clean sheets and stylish décor—it’s about building memories, fostering connection, and opening doors to the world.
To my fellow hosts: dream big this year. Whether you're starting with one listing or managing multiple properties, remember that every detail you pour into your space matters. Travelers are drawn to authenticity, and by sharing a piece of your heart, you’re making their journeys unforgettable.
This year has been good, but let’s make the next one even better. Let’s fill our calendars with bookings, our reviews with heartfelt gratitude, and our spaces with joy. Let’s encourage people to travel, explore, and savor the beauty of life.
Here’s to 2025—a year of growth, transformation, and shared success.
My dream for 2025 is not just for personal growth but for a thriving, united community of hosts and guests. I hope to see more people embracing the joy of travel—whether it’s a family exploring the cobblestone streets of Riga or a solo adventurer finding solace in a quiet Baltic hideaway.
As hosts, we have the privilege of creating spaces where memories are made. Let’s continue to pour our hearts into this work, inspiring one another and welcoming the world into our homes. Here’s to a year of new adventures, meaningful connections, and boundless inspiration.
Happy Hosting, and may 2025 be your best year yet!

Hi @Oksana127 😊,
What an inspiring journey you've had as a host! 😍
Your approach to thoughtful design, local experiences, and mentoring fellow hosts is truly motivating.
As you continue to expand and develop your portfolio, how do you plan to maintain the personal touch and uniqueness of each space while managing more properties?
🌟 Happy Holidays! 🌟
Warm regards🌻,

Dear @Elisa ! Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful question
Maintaining a personal touch while growing my portfolio has been one of my biggest priorities—and luckily, I have an incredible team who helps me stay inspired. My assistants handle the day-to-day, which gives me the freedom to focus on what I truly love: finding fresh ideas for interior design, sourcing unique details, and exploring new local spots that I can recommend to guests.
As for quality control—well, let’s just say I run a “carrot and stick” operation! Every week, I randomly visit one or two of my properties for a thorough check-up to ensure everything meets the high standards I’ve set. My team knows I’m serious about keeping our spaces spotless, but they also know I appreciate and reward great work.
And here’s something I firmly believe: feedback matters. I make it a point to respond to every guest review and leave one for them, too. I see so many hosts skip this step, but every guest deserves to know their voice was heard. Plus, feedback keeps me on my toes—each guest is unique, and their insights often inspire small tweaks that make a big difference.
Growing doesn’t mean sacrificing care; it just means building a system where quality and warmth can flourish together. And honestly, there’s no better feeling than seeing a new space come to life and knowing it will become a cozy nest for travelers worldwide.
Thanks again for asking—it’s questions like yours that remind me why I love hosting so much!
Hi @Oksana127 ,
What a journey – from "Cinderellas" to "Princesses" is such a lovely way to describe it. Your passion really comes through, and I have to admit, it’s a bit inspiring for those of us with just one humble listing.
Wishing you a fantastic 2025 with plenty of magic along the way! ✨
Warm greetings from Sweden,
Karen
Thank you so much, @Karen4131 ! Your kind words truly warmed my heart. I still remember what it was like starting out with just one listing—so much potential waiting to be uncovered. Trust me, every “humble beginning” holds its own magic, and the journey ahead is full of possibilities
Wishing you a 2025 filled with inspiration, joy, and growth. Keep sharing your unique warmth with your guests—every small touch makes a world of difference!
Sending best wishes from afar,
Oksana
First, I have to save I love the splash of colour in your 2025 vision. I think I will have to copy it for another day.
After reading your publication for Celebrations 2024, I think I have to agree that you have turned into a Princess. I feel that you have a flair or a love of design. Dou you have a favourite or design tip that you care to share.
Your tips for hosts to Shine in 2025 I am sure are many hosts do this in their own way. Staying innovative with the growing competition in the STRA market.
However, commercialisation has sometimes overshadowed the individual host’s personal touch. But for those of us who live onsite, knowing our neighbourhoods well and sharing that knowledge with guests remains a vital part of the hosting experience.
I like your idea on thoughtful upgrades. When starting out, hosts often work within a tight budget, so I suggest upgrading gradually. Don’t overlook second-hand shops—they can offer amazing bargains and support sustainable practices.
For my part, living onsite allows me to personally welcome each guest, and I always provide a surprise breakfast hamper to kick off their stay. It’s a small touch, but it’s frequently mentioned in reviews as a memorable part of their experience.
Staying updated with changes in Airbnb policies and local regulations is crucial, and this should be an important part of being a host.
Thank you for you for your suggestions for other Hosts as they align with my own approach to hosting. Wishing you all the best and take care on your journey of being a Princess.
