Community Grants a good idea

Garden projects, community tool libraries, little lending libraries.  We have a program for neighbourhood grants and a little goes a long way.  $30000 is divided into small $300-500 grants for small scale community building.  Anyone can apply to animate their community.  Or maybe hosts apply to do good and give back.  It would take the sting out of the stigma of being a short term rental landlord in communities sensitive to housing issues.  I have worked with $2000-5000 grants too for community gardens and this could be great.  I could do a project in both of my rental areas to improve our pedestrian areas.
