I'm new to hosting and I'm a little lost
Hi, we're Circe and John,
The home we are listing was our first home. We raised our two youngest there and we love with it. Great for big families. It's a beautiful area in a cozy mountain community that's easy to get to. Now we live 50 minutes north in Bakersfield and enjoy coming back when we can, maybe enjoy the snow or a hike. Or just take in the quiet or the little shops. Better yet, the pizza.

Hello @Circe7 Circe & John,
Congratulations on such a large property in the wild expanse of the US.
It is not uncommon to find yourself needing a little headspace from time to time. We are here if you ever wish to chat.
All the best to you in your future.
Respectfully @Jim-and-Caroline0

Hello @Circe7 👋
Congratulations on beginning your hosting journey and a huge welcome to the Community Center! It's great to have you here with us and your place sounds amazing. Have you had any bookings yet?
I think it's a completely normal feeling to be a little lost, maybe overwhelmed, nervous, and excited all at once. There are other new hosts just like you who are sharing their journey> New Hosts: How Do You Feel About Starting Your Hosting Adventure?
This will be a great space for you to get advice from experienced hosts and some of the boards may be super helpful.
✨ Ask about your listing - You can ask other Hosts to critique your listing, you could be pleasantly surprised at what other people see!
✨ Advice on your space - This is great for general questions about your space specifically, for example, the amenities that you have at the property to what types of sheets that you use.
✨ Help with your business - You can ask those nitty gritty questions about taxes, payouts and more in this section.
✨ Support with your bookings - Ask for support from Hosts who have mastered the art of hospitality - from reviews, communicating with guests to cancellations.
Looking forward to seeing you around!

@Circe7 A few thoughts from me:
1) Just play with your listing clicking on things so you see what is available. You will soon get comfortable with how the system works - Easier (I think) to do this on a computer.
2) Now your listing is live you can tick far more amenities. At resent your listing doesn't have hot water which must be wrong.
3) Look at the listing as if you were a guest. Compare it to others locally. Would you stay there is the honest question you need to ask. Also is it appropriately priced? I should say I haven't looked so all might be fine.
4) 11 people feels a lot for a 3 bedroom place. I worry this might attract party planning people. My personal view is 2 people per bedroom is a comfortable capacity but perhaps your place has additional rooms I cannot see.
5) I wouldn't say you live 50 minutes away. Again this might encourage miscreants to book knowing you are not local.
