I checked into an Airbnb yesterday. The unit advertises having wifi and a TV.
It turns out the owner is in the process of selling the the property and has disconnected the internet service. She also removed the tv.
I'm going to ask for a discount first since I can rent a Hotspot and have my phone (I used 3gb last night, I get 20gb and it's a 10 day rental)
If she refuses though, would airbnb refund my money?
IMO Wifi is a key amenity and if it offered on the listing, but not available at all the host is in error.

The owner agreed to reimburse me for the cost of 20GB of hotspot data to cover the two weeks I'd be staying there so all is good.
Be sure to send the host a request for money via Airbnb's Resolution Center: https://www.airbnb.com/resolutions. If they don't accept and pay, then you can get Airbnb involved.
