Hi everyone,I’m a professional photographer for Airbnb, and I recently took photos of an apartment. According to the agreemen...
I can't find this anywhere. . . I'd like to know MY rating (as a guest). Can anyone show me? Like what we see from our guests when the inquire/have confirmed bookings. . .
I've never known what hosts rate ME as a guest.
Sorry if this has been asked before!
@Richard531 I don't have an active listing-- I think you would have to send an inquiry for it to be visible? That host could send you a screenshot.
sorry, posted link, but no ratings there
@Laura2592 Really appreciate the idea! I guess it's kinda strange that as a guest you don't know your own ranking easily? We (of course) know our metrics as hosts. . .
Seems like a lot of work to inquire with another listing to know where you stand as a guest.
Done! Thanks so much! But I don't think we can send screenshots?
Seems like a lot of work to see where you stand as a guest. And as a host, I want guests to know that I've left them lousy reviews if they are bad guests. As it stands, guests don't really know what their metrics are. Is that what we're seeing?
True- guests don't see metrics, just text. @Richard531 @Laura2592
Also interesting, when you book with other users (like a family trip), you don't see their ratings either, so it could be that Grandma and Grandpa are whiny, messy guests that cost you a reservation. Or your adult kids might be partying during spring break... 😅
On the other hand, you might be able to improve their scores by adding them to the family vacation... 🤷♀️
I could see yours!
Interesting. Let me look at yours again... Maybe I'll look at my computer...

Also of note: I believe only hosts with IB-enabled see the numeric score. So any host that doesn't do IB loses out on the numeric score- this is why rating 1* with text like "." Is not helpful.
**bleep**! I think we're figuring it out.
1) As a guest, there's no easy way to see your own guest metrics
2) As a host, you need IB enabled and you can see the metrics of a guest with just an inquiry
3) As a host, without IB, you only see the text of the guest and not the metrics
Chalk this up to another strange/incomplete functional requirement situation for the Airbnb booking tool.
@Richard531 @IB isn’t necessarily the thing. I’ve had IB off for quite some time, can still see stars. But your larger point that guests don’t know how we rate them is quite true. And very on purpose.
@Kelly149 Any idea why Airbnb doesn't want guest to know how we rate them? Since (and I think you're correct), it's done on purpose?
I know my "rider" profile on Uber/Lyft. I know that it makes me a better passenger! Why not have that be the leading indicator that a guest sees about him/herself when they browse?
