Hello everyone! 😊
Welcome to the Community Center! 👋 I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca and @Elisa and we are thrilled to have you join us.
Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:
@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.
@Bhumika : 🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.
@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.
@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community. I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘 and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌
@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.
Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Warm regards,
Bhumika

Hello,
I'm Claire, born in Jamaica and raised in Toronto, Ontario. As an entrepreneur, I own Alpha Beauty Supply and Salon in my community. I have a passion for hosting and currently manage two listings in different communities—one where I reside and another elsewhere. I adore dogs and find joy in creating welcoming spaces for guests.
While I enjoy hosting, I'm looking to refine my skills and enhance the guest experience. I'd be thrilled to receive tips and feedback on how to become a better host.
Thank you for your support and guidance.
Best regards,
Claire
Hey @Claire2202, welcome! Sounds like you're juggling quite a lot! How do you manage your time and strike a balance with Hosting and running your own businesses?
I'm sure you have a vast amount of knowledge and experience. If you ever want to share any of your wisdom feel free to create a conversation 😊

Hi I’m Lise & live in Fredericton NB Canada where we have a tranquil apartment with a garden view.
We lived in Saskatchewan growing up & I have a passion for skating and fibre- arts, but mostly sewing. I like the challenge of sewing projects for things around my home that do not have a pattern.
I’m enjoying meeting people through Air BnB on both sides & looking to improve my skills to enhance the guests experiences. I will be glad to receive tips and feedback on how to become a better host.
I envy your ability to construct something without a pattern @Ken-and-Lise0. It is definitely an amazing skill to develop.
Now the real question is, do you iron your seams as you sew?
Hello all!
I've been a host for the past 11 years in several countries around the globe. Today was the first time I have found the Community Center and I am really glad I did, because I miss talking to people like minded.
For me Airbnb has become a real passion and it's one of my favorite things to do. I connect with people from all over the world and I give them a home to feel comfortable in while traveling. I treat them how I'd like to be treated when I am exploring.
Currently I have two sailing boats in Palma de Mallorca - Spain, an apartment in Bucharest - Romania and co-hosting several rooms in Korpilombolo - Sweden.
Are there any online meetings or socialising events in the community?
Hi @Raluca48, that's incredible that you've been hosting for quite some time! What would you say is your highlight and your most favourite country that you've hosted in? 🌎
Sounds like you've come to the perfect place! I'm sure you have plenty of wisdom to share with fellow Hosts 😊
You can join the nearest Local Host Club to connect with fellow hosts local to your area. You can share your experiences, exchange valuable knowledge and get advice. Here's the link where you can join: https://community.withairbnb.com/t5/Local-Host-Clubs/ct-p/en_clubs The Local Host do organise online and in-person meet ups so hopefully you can meet some more passionate people!
I hope this helps 😁

Good evening, I am new to the chat. I am in the US. I have a vacation property in Missouri and would love to see what other host are doing that have chalet or A frame type of properties.
Hi! I am Col P S Sangha. I am a retired Army officer living in the National Capital Region of India and our listed property is in New Delhi . I have been now been in the Airbnb business for the past 4.5 years and have enjoyed the experience. Basically, we try to give a homely experience to our guests and maintain the place like we would our own home. The effect on the guests is immediate and most come back to stay in our place as and when they
