Hello All,
Hope you are all well.
In light of the madness and insane level of anxiety happening around us, would like to share the below- hope it brings a smile to your face and a lightness to your heart.
Side note: thank god its "new"
For those of you struggling, remember that this too shall pass and better days are coming. Statistically you have survived 100% of everything life has thrown your way. Without any doubt, logically, you are stronger than you would ever give yourself credit for being. Keep on going and stay safe.
Yadira 🙂
You have to love a good pun, good work @Ian-And-Anne-Marie0 : )
In all seriousness, I hope his supplies haven't become this desperate....he might get a few strange looks in the allotment! haha
I'm happy to send you and your friend one of my rolls if it's come to this.

Bahahahaha haha haha.....
HAHAHA @Yadira22 !
If you really need some, I can pop some over to your place. I'm sure all our mini local communities can help each other out if we're caught out on the bog!
Thanks,
Stephanie
Thank you @Stephanie but we are sorted. We buy in bulk and have been doing this since before Airbnb as it makes more financial sense (used to work as an FMCG buyer/vendor) and we have storage space.
This whole idea of exchange of food etc could be a lovely community idea.
Good luck and stay safe all!

It's far more likely to end up in a Modern Art Museum as a symbol for our times, and eventually go under the hammer for millions.
@Alon1 I wonder if after the hammer goes down it will shred into lots of mini pieces, like the Banksy....then it will be worth even more!

Did you hear the one about the banana?
Man eats banana 'artwork' which was about to be sold for over £ 100,000
On a serious note:
Coronavirus: Toilet roll alternatives blocking sewers

Toilet roll panic buying is leading to blocked sewers as people with no loo paper are forced to use alternatives, a water company has warned.
Northumbrian Water said householders were flushing wipes, kitchen roll and newspaper.
The company said it understood people were "only improvising" but the consequences could be "devastating" to homes and the environment.
Head of wastewater networks Simon Cyhanko said they should use the bin.
"We understand some people affected by the limited toilet roll availability may have no choice but to use alternative products," he said.

"Blockages can have devastating consequences, from causing people's homes to be flooded with toilet waste to the environment being polluted."
A home flooded with sewage "isn't a pleasant experience at any time and especially now, if vulnerable people need to self-isolate because of Covid-19", he said.
@Alon1 There are plenty of countries where even toilet paper goes in a basket, it can't be flushed. I think 3rd world countries are going to weather this pandemic and the necessity to do things differently a lot better than the first-worlders, who are used to everything being automatic and can't think outside the box. 3rd worlders have been "making do" as a matter of course forever.
I am familiar with 3rd World Countries. I've travelled quite a lot in the past.
What I posted was drawn from BBC re. UK issues.
@Alon1 Yes, I'm aware that related to UK issues. And I think that's going to be the case in the US, Canada, and other countries where people are used to first-world infrastructure and have never had to do things like put all bathroom paper in a basket.
The solution here is to stop the panic buying & hording.
It is suggested this is a symptom which other countries experienced the week they announced school closures. We just had this week, so the expectation is the panic will recede.
We'll see...
