Reservation from unavailable country

Hi, Im from Cuba which some kind of locked to make reservations (maybe due to the U.S. embargo laws).

Now I'll go to Barcelona, Spain to a master degree course and I want to make a long term reservation and some friend in Spain will pay for me (In Cuba I haven't  any valid credit or debit card).

My question: Is possible to make this reservation with this special conditions?

3rd party reservations are not allowed on Airbnb. So if you found a suitable place, you or your friend can contact the host ("contact the host" link on the listing) and explain issue. The host can ask Airbnb to support the 3rd party booking. Be aware of the special conditions related to "long term stays" (like cancellation policy) and offcourse check the travel and local restrictions related to COVID.

BTW If you can not make reservations from your country, maybe using a VPN will help ?

(as probably you are blocked based on IP address ?).

@Emiel1 I tried to use an VPN but due to my confirmed phone number is from Cuba, the platform just launch a Message that the service isn't available on my location. 

I tried using my friend's phone, but then the payment fails.
