I think airbnb should explain a little better how this star rating works. Most people think that a 5-star review means it was all a dream. I've had a few hosts who have given excellent reviews and given it 4 stars and so I was wandering why. They should understand that 5 stars means you will be 80-100% satisfied with your stay. Thanks
I think my "favorite" thing is when a guest gives 5 stars in all areas, but only 4 stars overall for capricious reasons. I wish the overall score was an average of the 5 areas and an overall 4.5+ was considered superhost worthy.
Thanks you are right - most guests would think 5 stars is 100%. Also my ratings for each individual item were 5 or 4.9 but then some people gave me a 4 for overall even though I know they were very happy with there stay and had absolutely no complaints
