Hi there,
Last Saturday, I tested positive for Covid-19 having taken a rapid antigen test which I needed to have to travel on a day trip. Needless to say, the travel was cancelled, and I arranged a PCR test for the following day.
However, I contacted Airbnb because I was conscious I had a guest coming on the Monday and I wanted to give him notice in case my PCR test came back Covid-19 positive. After speaking with an agent, my account was suspended. She told me that once I provided proof of a negative Covid-19 test, she would reactivate my account.
Fortunately, the PCR test did come back negative on the Monday lunchtime, and I immediately provided photographic evidence to Airbnb so they could reactivate my account.
However, we are now at Wednesday night, and my account remains suspended. I have contacted Airbnb support to ask about this on three occasions now, (Monday night, Tuesday night and tonight) and they have provided the same answer - that only the 'case manager' can deal with it. On each occasion, they have said that my account will be reactivated within 24 hours.
But... it remains suspended, which is a cause of great frustration and concern to me.
I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue before, and if so, would you have any advice to offer?
