I am one of two separate guests. The rules of the house are no smoking inside. We both smoke but I would never do it inside. This morning when I got up to go to the shared restroom, there was a fresh odor of cigarette smoke in there. I don’t want my host to think I did it. What should I do? Tell the host when she wakes or let it ride?
@Trina365 I would speak to the other guest and let them know that you smelled smoke in the shared restroom. They could have gone outside, smoked, and then come inside and used the restroom, bringing the smell with them on their clothing without being aware that the smoke smell can linger. As both of you smoke, the other guest may be more amenable to you alerting them to your concerns about residual odor.
