cancellation and refunding a guest

Hi - My guest cancelled after 49 hours and my refund policy is set to "strict" so they only received 50% of their payment back. There were unforseen circumstances and I'd like to refund their money (minus any fees).  I see that airbnb will credit me the remaining 50% AFTER the reservation starting date (mid June).  I'd like to refund the rest of this guest's money now- but how? Do I have to wait until airbnb puts the money in my account (mid-June). If I click "send money" now, does the money get deleted from my account? How does this work? Thank you!

@Jennifer888 If you send them money now (money which you don't posses yet), you risk to pay double.

Happened to others. I guess it's better to follow the designed procedure and wait.

@Till-and-Jutta0 are correct, shouldn't send the money now.

 

Do consider  to contact Airbnb Support Help Center, ‘ live chat’ with the team ( not an Airbnb bot ), acknowledge the team, you would like to make a full refund to the guest, request the case manager motive your future payouts.
