wondering if guests are given a contact number by AIR BNB  so they can advise if arriving late

@Reg2605  Guests receive the host's phone number when their booking is confirmed, just as the host receives the  guest's number.

Yes, they should do, but not all guests read the information, so I always make sure to send the full address, some directions and my number a few days prior to check in and ask them to contact me via that number if they are running late. It works most of the time.

I am sick of people not reading check in times and turning up hours late for check in . Not looking up how long a journey will actually take….. saying they are leaving two hours before check in when Google maps say journey will take 4 hours on a good day. What is the position with this I offer a private room in my house it is not an hotel and I’m not letting people in without me being here. Really sick of this I remind people when they book what my latest check in time is doesn’t seem to make any difference. Inconsiderate
