I have been contacted through messages by a former guest. the message was purely social as they have bought a house in our area and have lost our contact details. Airbnb is asking me to accept their booking, although it is not a booking request. does this affect my advertising do not accept them?

@Ann32628 No - if it is just an enquiry it is not necessary to accept or decline the guest. Your ratings will be unaffected by ignoring Airbnb in this case.

If it is the first time a person writes anything then sending something back (even a dot) within 24 hours is good practice, otherwise yes can ignore.
