service -follow up - efficiency

This is becoming more of a joke everyday : how long did it take to get a reply to my joining ? a regular surface mail would have been faster

@Regis67  It's unclear what you are referring to. What do you mean, "a reply to my joining"?

forget it, I do think that you people are hopeless. You want to dig out, check up last message to some Quincy bloke 3 week ago ( of course no follow up )

I see your airbnb communauty is a substiture for letting members to sort out their undividual problems by themselves ( airbnb cannot offer this service anymore - hence, I lost money and opportunities )

@Regis67 Do you have any idea who you are talking to? You see this is a community that provides self help. It is moderated by the likes of @Quincy but they are just helpful folk who keep us under control. They are not here to answer posts.

If you have a question you think fellow hosts/guests can help with then you post it here. If you need customer support then go in via Airbnb help.

Unless you know who you are talking to/what you want it will be a frustrating experience I am afraid.

I know who I am talking to and I also thought that this communauty was there to provide self help : not quite stimulating. Now, when a moderator pops out of the blue, as it happened, I was glad to be able ( at least ) to have a point of contact. The "via communauty help" is, in the instance, of no help : its deals only with limited features ( hosting experience/booking travel/hosting story/manage company travel ); in my case, it does help. It used to have such Help/Support service before ; it no longer is available

@Regis67  You obviously don't know who you are talking to, or understand what this forum is, because you keep saying "you" in an accusatory, aggressive way.

Everyone here is either just another host or a guest. None of us get paid to help anyone, we just do it to learn from each other and to have some camaraderie with fellow hosts.

And the moderators here, like Quincy, aren't Airbnb support staff. Their job is only to manage the forum so it runs smoothly.

Now if you want to complain about the poor quality of Airbnb customer service, almost everyone will agree with you, the reps are close to useless.

Hi there @Regis67, thank you for your reply here.

I can see that the issue you're currently experiencing (account security related) isn't something I can look into as the Community Center is not the customer service department.

I will pass this message on to the team for you for further investigation.

@Regis67 Yes there is - but its not very good. Just go to Airbnb help and work your way through the bot menus and eventually you might find a phone number for them.

u r not supposed to find your way through the bots menus and ... eventually find a phone number ; that not connectivity - not interaction

On the other hand, what you are supposed to  is NOT waste time on useless, baseless, hopeless manipulation : unless it is some people idea of fun

@Regis67 I consider myself fairly well educated but have no idea what you are talking about. Given that most of customer support are probably on minimum wage please treat them well and be clear on what you actually want.
