Awaiting Verification

HI,

I am seeing the note 'Awaiting Verification' beside a potential booking. Is Airbnb awaiting info from me, the host, or, from the potential guest?

@Dave323  it sounds like Airbnb are still verifying the guest, e.g. their Government ID, so they will not complete the booking until this is done. Probably nothing you need to do from your end, but if you want to speed things up, you could message the guest and remind them to upload all the relevant details for verification if they haven't done so already.

we've had this a couple of times. The downside is that no one else can book for the dates held. Luckily for us both times the verification happened in a day or two so we got the booking. I do wonder how long Abb would allow the dates to be blocked if the guest doesn't verify quickly
