Hi im known as Joy, have been with airbnb since last February. Have met some amzing people from all over the world, overall a great experience and delighted i joined. Quiet at the moment but heres hoping for a great 2026.

Welcome to the Community! How has your experience been since you started? What’s the most valuable thing you’ve learned so far? I used to live in Ireland and I really enjoyed my time there!  🇮🇪

Experience has been great. The people that stayed were really lovely people, maybe a few strange but you get that dealing with the public anyway. Leaving some nice touches has been well received e.g. homemade brown soda breads, homemade marmalade and jams. People really appreciate it and also giving them local information regarding places to eat and local pubs with traditional irish music which they really enjoyed. Also directions for places to visit that would be off the beaten track and not touristy.

Ususlly places off the beaten track. Places where we would go ourselves and people wouldn't know much about.  Restaurants,  bars etc. Beaches and little villages. Coastal areas that you get a real feel of the Irish hospitality.
