Blocked in error
Hi There
3 months ago my Dad passed away and he had an account and listing. I managed the current bookings he already had but contacted AirB&B and explained what happened. They told me I could manage the current reservations but to block all future dates so no more drop in which I did. They asked me to create my own account which I did. I listed the same house and continued hosting so my mum could keep earning this income. Once they eventually deactivated my Dads account they somehow blocked mine from receiving reservations so this income is at a stand still. I only found out as a booking contacted me to say the place isn't listed anymore. I've been trying to contact AirB&B for 9 days straight now and im being completely ignored. If i call on the phone tjey say sorry I can't help you as its been escalated and you just need to wait for an email. What should I do?

Sorry you have been placed in this very awkward situation.
CS are notorious at not being able to help with technical difficulties.
I have heard that many people get much better success if they use Twitter to contact CS.
This is not much help I know, but I"m hoping that by replying other hosts will see this thread and have other solutions or ideas

Thanks Rowena. I don't use Twitter but I'll try and use some other form of social media to contact them.

@Chris12069 could you just delist everything including your account and then start from scratch? New account, new listings?

Yes but then I lose all my rating, reviews everything. It will look like im a new host.

That does make sense. So is it not my profile that is blocked from taking reservations? If i just deactivate the listing completely and make a new one but on my profile everything should be ok?
