Can I rent a place in Playa Del Carmen and airbnb it?

I am a Canadian Citizen.  I would like to know if I can rent a place in Playa Del Carmen and Airbnb the rental properties.

Do you mean to want to sublet a property you will be renting for STR????. If so you will need to

1. Find a landlord willing to do this

2. Check STR legislation for the area

3. Any STR restrictions for the property you want to rent.

Yes… But hard without a VAT. Airbnb takes over 45% to pay the taxes and you get charged for all of it, and can not right off the rent. You will need to open a corporation and get a VAT number. Then you can do your own taxes

You will have to see if the owner agrees' to sub letting before you do anything, I actually know someone who caused himself a load of trouble at a condo he had rented, That was in Australia he didnt make the owner aware of what he was doing,
