Hello,

Recently I received an Airbnb listing deactivation warning, and I need to explain that in my county there’s rules and laws regarding mixed groups which it is “illegal” for males and females to stay together without a marriage contract according to Egyptian laws.

That’s why In first place I’m not allowing instant booking, usually I’m asking guests about their genders which I know it’s not the best thing to do, and most of requests are mixed groups therefore I’m declining most of them.

Now I had to block all of my calendars due to your warning because I’m not sure what to do in such cases, I either need to be able to decline all of my requests or I can’t even list my properties on Airbnb.

I’m up for any suggestions or recommendations

@Ramy37

booking request:

You can also ask the guest to retract the request, as it violates local laws. Most will do and then no decline nessecary.

Inquiry:

No obligation to decline, just answer the question

Make it clear into the listing what is not allowed, so potential guest can read it before booking.
