Airbnb is a peer-to-peer service, so most hosts will expect that the person staying in their property to book directly with them. Each individual home has a unique set of rules and features, so it's important that the person being accommodated is directly involved with the booking and in contact with the host. (Airbnb does have a Work Account system that allows for third-party bookings, but based on my experience I can't recommend it, especially when you're booking for staff whose personal needs and temperament aren't yet familiar to you).
